Is this you?
- Amazon onboarding is asking for a principal place of business in a state where you have no office.
- You got a GST notice, physical-verification flag, or listing suspension and need verification-ready documents quickly.
- Amazon allocated your inventory to a new fulfilment-centre state and now you need a GSTIN there.
- You sell across six or more states and treat adding APOB addresses as routine ops.
The problem
When Amazon FBA stores your stock in a state — Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu — you are treated as making taxable supplies from that state. Your Kerala registration alone is not enough; you need a separate GSTIN where the inventory sits (CGST Act §22 read with §25).
And there is no turnover cushion. Section 24 makes GST mandatory for marketplace sellers from rupee one, so a single Amazon FBA shipment into a new state can trigger a registration requirement before you have sold anything there.
Our solution
We give you a VPOB — a Virtual Principal Place of Business, the seller shorthand for a GST-compliant address — at a real commercial building, with every document a GST officer expects. Our own office is in Kochi (LR Towers, Palarivattom), and we coordinate multi-state VPOB and APOB addresses through partner providers in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Ahmedabad.
Worried it will look fake, or that Amazon will reject it? It won’t: Amazon accepts any valid GSTIN, and the address is a real building with signage and reception — not a postbox. Worried about officer rejection? We supply a compliant NOC, rent or licence agreement and recent utility bill, display your nameboard, and receive the physical-verification visit in person.
What’s included
- GST-compliant address (VPOB) usable as your principal or additional place of business
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the premises owner, naming your legal entity
- Rent / licence agreement between you and the provider, on the correct stamp paper
- Recent utility bill for the address, dated within the last 60 days
- Business mail handling — statutory notices scanned and reported, post forwarded
- Nameboard signage with your business name, up on the day you apply
- GST officer physical-verification reception by named on-site staff

Quick answers
Can I use a virtual office address for Amazon FBA GST registration?
Yes. Amazon accepts any valid GSTIN, and GST law accepts any real premises you can prove a right to use as your principal place of business. A virtual office gives you a GST-compliant address plus the NOC, rent or licence agreement and recent utility bill that officers expect. Thousands of FBA sellers register multi-state GSTINs this way — it is standard practice, not a workaround.
Do I need GST in every state where Amazon stores my stock?
Yes. Under the CGST Act, holding inventory in a state means you are making taxable supplies from that state, so you need a separate GSTIN there. Your Kerala registration does not cover a Karnataka or Maharashtra fulfilment centre. Each FC state where Amazon allocates your stock needs its own VPOB address and its own state GST registration.
How many GSTINs can one Amazon account hold?
One Amazon seller account can hold up to 25 GSTINs — one per state or union territory — all linked to the same PAN. That ceiling is far above what most sellers ever use; even large multi-state operations rarely exceed eight to ten states. You add each new state GSTIN to your account as you expand, using a VPOB address registered in that state.
Will the address pass GST physical verification?
It is built to. We supply a compliant NOC, rent or licence agreement and a recent utility bill that all match the same address, display your business nameboard, and receive the officer at a real commercial building with reception. When verification is document-only, clean papers clear it; when an inspector visits, a staffed office with your signage up resolves it. Paper-only listings are what fail.
Which states should a Kerala seller add first?
Amazon has no FBA fulfilment centre in Kerala yet — only delivery and sort hubs — so Kerala sellers expand outward. The first three states most add are Karnataka (Bangalore FCs), Maharashtra (Mumbai/Pune FCs) and Tamil Nadu (Chennai FCs), because Amazon routinely allocates South and West India stock there. We coordinate VPOB addresses in those states plus Delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad through partner providers.
How fast can a new-state GSTIN go live?
With clean documents and no verification flag, a new-state GSTIN is usually issued in 3 to 7 working days. If the officer triggers physical verification, add another 7 to 15 days. The biggest factor in speed is document completeness and a provider who actually receives the officer on-site, so flag a notice or suspension to us early and we can issue verification-ready documents fast.
